Allow me first to wish each and everyone good health and strength as we pass through this crisis. I wanted to share with you a few thoughts as everything seems to be on hold right now. We are all preoccupied with this terrible pandemic and with questions regarding the future and how we could be of any help apart from the obvious reaction of staying home.
This is the time to reorganize, this is the time to be with our family and this is definitely NOT the time to feel helpless and give up. We are all together in this and we are all connected in a way, all over the world. Each and everyone is giving it’s own fight as we are trying to adopt a different way of life.
The teachers create alternative channels of communication with their students, grandparents and friends communicate through on line applications to feel close to their loved ones, business people are thinking of alternative strategies, young people come up with ideas of helping their community especially the elder people who are most at risk. We found ways to e-meet, skype conference and video call so that we cope with this new reality but not to give up. We see health professionals and volunteers risking their lives with limited resources but not to quit.
My dear friends, this is the time to stay focus. Stay focus on now and on the things you have control. Create your daily schedule to keep yourself healthy and busy and have always in mind that this is temporary. Have faith as we are fighting together this challenge! Through this storm we must emerge stronger.
“And once the storm is over, you won’t remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. You won’t even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won’t be the same person who walked in. That’s what this storm’s all about.” Kafka on the shore, Haruki Murakami
